Richard Myers

Community Outreach Manager

Richard graduated with a BS in Education from Taylor University, and earned his Master’s in Education at University of Central Florida, Orlando.

After 45 years of service to his community, Richard retired in January 2018 from Brevard Public Schools. He began working alongside his wife, Sandy Myers, to educate those employed by The Florida Retirement System about the importance of preparing for retirement. Together, they are on a mission to help people align their finances with what really matters to them.

During his tenure as a leader in Brevard Public Schools Richard maintained a passion for educating his friends, family and staff regarding the importance of saving from the early days of one’s career. He wanted to ensure that everyone he worked with — custodians, cafeteria workers, support staff and teachers — all heard how quickly 30 years can go by when you enjoy what you are doing every day. His goal continues to be helping others understand the importance of having a plan, so that progress can be made, confidence can be found, and balance and peace are discovered along the way.

Richard and Sandy live in Rockledge, FL, and are active members of Church at Viera. Richard is a proud father, father-in-law and grandfather to a young, growing family.
